“I have been a wildland firefighter for 3 years now. My first two years out, I was given a bulky headlamp for work at night, which caught on branches and ate up batteries like a hungry child. Last year, I got a Pak-Lite and taped it to my helmet. No extra batteries needed, didn't catch on things, and was just as bright as it's big brother. I now carry over a dozen in my pack as route markers and emergency locators.
